Zenith Education supports ten schools in and around the slum area of Malwani, Mumbai.

When Zenith’s Trustees became involved in 2012, 200 children were being educated in one school small, ramshackle building.  Today, this first school educates 850 children in two large buildings.

Zenith Education has also facilitated a group of ten schools in Malwani. Together, these schools educate nearly 6000 children with a dedicated staff of 250 teachers.

Zenith’s impact includes:

• Subsidising school fees, including to prevent children from dropping out of school (although Zenith provides strategic support to enable the schools to become self-sustaining)
• Support for building work to provide additional school buildings, allowing hundreds of additional children to be educated
• Funding the extension of classrooms and enclosing roof space (previously some rooftop classrooms were not covered, meaning the children and teachers studied in the rain during the wet season)
• Funding innovative curriculum materials and classroom resources
• Providing laptops and other technology to improve teaching methods and resources
